A connection A is in the Cronstrom gauge around the origin if it has vanishing spacetime-radial component:

$x^{\alpha }A_{\alpha }=0.$

More generally, a connection is in the Cronstrom gauge around a point y in spacetime if

$(x^{\alpha }-y^{\alpha })A_{\alpha }=0.$
